The Georgia Council on Aging was formed in 1977 by the Georgia Legislature. Their mission is to advocate on behalf of aging Georgians and their families to improve their quality of life, make recommendations concerning programs for the elderly in Georgia, and serve in advisory capacity on aging issues to the Georgia government.
